Samuel Heyman, 83, of Brooklyn, NY, passed away Monday, November 19, 2012, at the Middletown Nursing Home, NY.
He was born in Steelton, PA on March 9, 1929 to the late Jacob and Jenny (Lipshitz) Heyman.
He was a retired Real Estate Broker and a Korean War Navy veteran. He was a former officer of the Fleet Reserve Association and a leader of the Sea Cadets. During his military services he was a writer for the Military Magazine and Trade Winds.
He is preceded in death by his two daughters, Arlene and Margaret Heyman.
Surviving are his two daughters, Patricia Bushman of Pine Island, NY, Karen Reese of FL; sister, Sylvia Morgan of CA; three grandsons, Antone Bratichak, Sean Garcia, Joshua Reese; two granddaughters, Virginia Heyman and Michelle Payton.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 21st, 2012 at 2 pm at the Chisuk Emuna Cemetery Chapel, Harrisburg (behind the Progress Plaza) with Rabbi Ron Muroff officiating. Burial will be held in the Chisuk Emuna Cemetery.
Arrangements by the Hetrick-Bitner Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to any veteran organization of your choice.
