Michael Francis Clouse, 54, of Albia, died Dec. 15, 2011, at the Monroe County Hospital under the care of Hospice of Monroe County.
Mike was born Feb. 2, 1957, to Bill and Pauline(Flanders)Clouse in Albia. Mike was raised by Darrell and Pauline Stocker. Mike married Mary Gerwig on Dec. 4, 1992. He attended and graduated from Albia High School, class of 1975. Mike owned and operated the Waterworks bar in Albia, and he later hauled freight as a truck driver for Yellow Freight for many years and USF Holland. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing and looking for mushroom and arrowheads. Mike enjoyed sports and playing baseball when younger. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children, family and friends.
Mike is survived by his wife, Mary Clouse of Albia; his children, Michael James(Lacey)Gregg, Megan Clouse, and Jake Clouse, all of Albia; a grandchild, Brady James Gregg; two sisters, Kathy(Jack)Keeton of Hartford and Cinda(Dennie)Comstock of Albia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Dennis Heiden and Junior Harter; and a sister, Patty Lou Boeger.
A memorial service will be held at 11an Monday at Tharp-Winfield Funeral Home in Albia; with Rev. Melisa Keeton officiating. A private family burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will begin at 11 am Sunday at the funeral home in Albia with the family present from 6-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, a memroial has been established to the family.
