Son of Hugh Watt Sr. (1723-1771) and Mary Black (1733-1774). Brother of Andrew, John, Margaret, Mary, and Hugh Ross Watt.
Married to Barbara Menown. Father of Barbara, Mary, Hugh, James, Andrew, Elizabeth, George Menown, Margaret and Jane, all born in Scotland.
