Mary Lee Brewer Blanchard arrived in this world on the afternoon of Friday, September 13, 1946 in Napa, California.
She entered the spirit world on Friday, October 28, 2011 after succumbing to respiratory failure in Vancouver, Washington where she had been living since 2000. She was 65 years old.
Although she lived on both coasts and in the Midwest, she lived the majority of her life in Grass Valley. She was always eager to return to the Sierra Nevadas.
She graduated from Nevada Union High School in 1965. She met her future husband in Grass Valley and they married in Reno, Nevada. They enjoyed a mutual love and respect for each other that only deepened in time. They had one child, a daughter, who enriched their lives more than she would ever realize.
Mrs. Blanchard worked for Nevada County for seven years in the Wastewater Department as the Assistant to the Wastewater Operations Manager. She enjoyed her work and the people with whom she worked.
She is predeceased by her father, Carl "Tex" Brewer, a long-time resident of Grass Valley until his death in 1968.
I'm saving your place, Sweetheart. Manners, it's a lovely day today. Goodbye, Magun.
Mary was a woman of quiet pursuits and strong beliefs.
Mrs. Blanchard requested no services.
