A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church for Harriet Houghton Faulk Felber, 78, who died Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at 3:40 a.m. at Lafayette General Medical Center.

Fr. Jim Brady, Associate Pastor of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, will officiate for the services. The family requests visiting hours Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A rosary will be recited Friday at 6:30 p.m. by Sister Justin Baker. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Felber was longtime resident of Crowley. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, past Crowley Optimist Club member, krewe member for Crowley Town Club Mardi Gras. She loved gardening and working in her yard. She was the former owner and operator of East Crowley Mini Mall. She always had by her side her faithful companions, Stach and Kayla.

She is survived by two daughters, Cindy Faulk of Baton Rouge; Denise Faulk Thornhill and her husband Ricky of Duson; one son, Joel S. Faulk and his wife Judy of Crowley; one sister, Lil Hebert of Lafayette; two step-sons, Van Earl Felber, Jr. of Newman, CA, Joe Dan Felber of Indiana; fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Felber was preceded in death by her first husband, Anthony Dennis Faulk; her second husband, Van Felber, Sr.; one sister, Loretta Matthews; one brother, Charles Houghton.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Sam Phillips, Joshua Faulk, Zack Richard; her nephews, Eric Matthews, Michael Hebert, and Chuck Houghton.
