A native of Searcy, Ark., and lived in Merced for the last 30 years.
Survivors include his widow, Jeannette; a daughter, Mrs. Linda Gayle Aue of Merced; a son, Jerry Lytal of Merced; a stepdaughter, Ann Marie Bates of Merced; a brother, James Austin Lytal of Santa Barbara; his mother, Mrs. Kiddie Lytal of Merced; and a nephew, Lewis Lytal of Santa Barbara.
