John Casper Bloms was born January 28, 1881, at Amsterdam, Holland, the son of John C. and Marie (Premers) Bloms. He came with his family to the United States to Minnesota when he was 11 years old, eventually settling in North Dakota in the Foxholm area. He married Margaret B. Keller, November 3, 1908 at St. Mary's Catholic church in Foxholm. John spent his life farming in the Lake Darling area, retiring in 1943. After his retirement, John and Margaret moved to Minot.
