Mr. Carter was born July 2, 1918 in Nebraska to the late Wilbur E. and Hazel Bickford Carter.
He is survived by two sons, Rodney Carter (Kathy) of Cheyenne, New York and Daniel Carter (Ginny) of Harrisburg, Arkansas; one daughter, Diane Anderson (Steven) of Myrtle, Mississippi; 21 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Carter; three step-sons, Robert, Ronald, and Gerald Biesecker.
Services for Ray Ernest Carter were held at Roller-Citizens. Burial was at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena. Reverend Daniel Anderson, Reverend Micah Carter, Reverend Claude Mills, and Reverend Charles Shipman will officiate.
Pallbearers are Andy Johnson, Nathan Mills, Ken Anderson, Aaron Anderson, Chris Anderson, and Austin Anderson.
