Mr. James "Jimmy" Edward Dyal, Sr., 70, a lifelong resident of Starke died at his home on Tuesday, December 7, 2010. Mr. Dyal was born at Hampton Lake on December 8, 1939 to the late Union and Mary (Bloss) Dyal. Jimmy was a 1957 graduate of Bradford County High School. He retired as Chief Warrant Officer after serving in the Florida National Guard for 38 years and was also the Automotive Inspector Foreman for CSMS at Camp Blanding. Jimmy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Starke, and the Masonic Lodge #89 of Melrose. He loved his family, grandchildren, great grandchildren, church family and traveling with Martha Sue. Survivors are his wife of 52 years, Martha Sue Dyal, and their children, Terri Paterson (Larry) and James Edward "Eddie" Dyal, Jr. all of Starke, 2 sisters; Juanita Greene of Hampton and Margaret Lewis of Starke, 2 granddaughters; Hope Davis (Daniel) and Stacy Lockhart (Brain Adkins) and 3 great granddaughters; Kensleigh Lockhart, Addysen Lockhart, and Pateynn Davis. A memorial service for Mr. Dyal will be held on Monday, December 13, 2010 at 11 O'clock am at First Baptist Church of Starke with services conducted by Dr. Rodney Coe and Rev. Robert Dennison. Following the service there will be a visitation with the family in the fellowship hall. Interment will be private at a later date.
