Grady Jenkins was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on August 7th, 1914 to parents Mary Alva Jenkins (Shaw) and Thomas Franklin Jenkins.
His brothers were Herbert Franklin Jenkins, Thomas Whitman Jenkins, Ira Delmar Jenkins and J. Jewel Jenkins.
Sergeant Grady Jenkins served in a US Army combat unit during WW-II - which was involved in much fighting and great loss of life. Grady saw things that no human being should be exposed to. Grady returned from war a very different and damaged man. No doubt that he suffered from severe PTSD, which was unknown at the time.
Grady Jenkins was a very, very rough and tough person! I've met many tough people in my life - but, I've never met a man tougher than Grady Jenkins. No doubt that WW-II took it's toll on his mind, heart and soul. Your war is over!
I hope you've found peace uncle.
Grady died when he was 57.
