Beverly M. Curtis Hughes was born at home to Joseph Curtis and Lida Mae Cole Curtis in Union, Utah on January 25, 1935. She married her high school sweetheart E. Dale Hughes on March 19, 1954 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Beverly worked for the Jordan School District from 1973-2000 in various positions. She was a master gardener, who loved a beautiful yard and flowers. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Beverly was an avid reader, who loved the Scriptures. She was loved by many great friends who brought joy to her life.
Beverly is survived by her son Curtis Dale (Maurveen) Hughes and daughter Kathleen (Harry Chris) Corsi, her brother Orrin Curtis, 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, and 3 brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at 11:00 am at the River Oaks 3rd Ward, 8825 South 1095 West, West Jordan, Utah. Viewings will be held on Monday, May 13, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 South), South Jordan, Utah and on Tuesday from 9:30-10:30 am at the church. Interment at South Jordan City Cemetery.
