EVANSVILLE - Forrest "Fuzzy" Bivin, 78, died at 6:40 a.m. Sunday, January 26 at Regina Continuing Care Center.
A native of Tobinsport, Mr. Bivin was born January 24, 1908, the son of the late Ernest and Della (Leaf) Bivin. He was a graduate of Tobinsport High School and was descended from the Tobins for whom Tobinsport was named.
A retired salesman he was employed at Lehman Company of America having moved to Cannelton as a young man. Shortly before Lehman's burned he moved to Louisville and Richmond, Indiana where he was a manufacturer's agent five years. He then returned to Tell City and was employed at one of the furniture companies. During World War II he was employed at Whirlpool Corporation and later Kaiser Aluminum in Evansville as a sales representative. While he was semi-retired he operated his own sales company Fuzzy's Sales Company, as a representative for Kaiser Aluminum.
Mr. Bivin was a member of Tell City Masonic Lodge No. 623 receiving his Award of Gold on June 9, 1979; Scottish Rite; St. Paul Espiscopal Church, Evansville and had special interest in collecting antique furniture.
Services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 29 at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel, the Rev. Henry A. Doherty officiated. Graveside services were conducted at noon Wednesday at the Old Lamb Cemetery in Tobinsport.
