Abilene Reporter March 23, 1998 Peggy Owen RANGER - Peggy Owen, 87, a self-employed music teacher for more than 40 years, died Saturday at her home. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Edwards Funeral Home with the Rev. Elizabeth Kugel officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Owen was born in Kansas and was a member of 1920 Club, Women's Club of Eastland and Columbia Study Club. She married Charlie Joe Owen in 1936 in Eastland. Survivors include her husband of Ranger; one daughter, Margaret Ruan Pearson of Waco; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
