Larry Lee Long, a U.S. Navy Seawolf and a lovely husband and father and brother and son. He was loved by all and is dearly missed by the ones that loved and knew him most.

Larry Lee Long, born on January 5, 1951 to the late Lark Bert and Ella Mae Phillips (Long) in Spencer, Roane County, West Virginia USA and had 4 brothers and 1 sister.

Larry Lee Long, the son of the late Lark Bert and Ella Mae Phillips Long of Spencer, Roane County, West Virginia USA passed away on Sunday October 3, 2010 at home with his wife of 36 years Janice D (Opeka) Long in Hartville, Stark County, Ohio USA.

Larry Lee Long, age 59, of Hartville passed away on Sunday morning October 3, 2010. He was born in Spencer, WV on January 5, 1951 to the late Lark and Ella Mae (Phillips) Long and was a Vietnam Navy Veteran. He worked for the Longaberger Company for 29 years.

He enjoyed fishing, old trucks, riding his motorcycle and gardening. The light of his life was his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Janice, with whom he would have celebrated 36 years of marriage on November 2, 2010; son and daughter-in-law Marc and LaShell Long and grandchildren Pason and Zoe all of Norton, Ohio; parents-in-law, Frank and Jennie Opeka of Hartville, Ohio; sister Debby and brother in law George Parker of Hickory, North Carolina; brother David and sister in law Rose Long of Spencer, West Virginia, brother DeWayne and sister in law Alexis Long of Akron, Ohio, brother Kenneth Long of Hickory, North Carolina, and brother Ronald and sister in law Melody Long of Newton, North Carolina; 4 nieces and 4 nephews. Preceded in death by a son Jason in 1979 and a brother Mark Jeffrey in 1959.

Calling hours were on Thursday October 7, 2010 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Arnold Funeral Home in Hartville, Ohio. On Friday October 8, 2010 the calling hours were on 10:00 to 10:30 AM at the funeral home and the procession will leave at 10:30 am for graveside services scheduled Friday October 8, 2010 at 11:30 AM at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.

Larry Lee Long, a U.S. Navy Seawolf has earned many ribbons while on his tour in Vietnam when they finally got recognized for their actions in the Vietnam War.
