John Wesley Myers was the son of Elias and Nancy Myers. He was a Confederate Veteran of the Civil War.
Texas Pvt. Co C 3 Reg't Texas Cav C.S.A. from 1861 to 1864.
He is buried in the Myers-Denton Family Cemetery on Bobtown road .2 mi. north of Barnes Bridge on the east side of the road. His daughters Fidelia and Johnie are buried beside him. This Cemetery has many unmarked graves, maybe 15-20 in all. He was married to Alice V. Montgomery.
