AMERICUS -- Leila Estaline "Leelee" Bausman, 78, Americus, died Wednesday, March 31, 1999, from injuries she suffered in a traffic accident northwest of Emporia.


Mrs. Bausman and her husband owned and operated Bausman Oil Co. in Americus from 1949 to 1984. She also was a bus driver for Unified School District No. 251 in North Lyon County from 1972 to 1991.


She was born April 20, 1920, at Americus, the daughter of Ernest A. and Alta Phela Snyder.


She married Clifford David Bausman on Nov. 27, 1940. He survives.


Other survivors include a son, Michael L. Bausman, Osage City; a daughter, Kathy A. Howard, Americus; nine grandchildren; and a great- grandson. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church at Americus.


Burial will be at the Americus Cemetery.


Memorial contributions may be made to the Americus United Methodist Church and sent in care of the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home in Emporia.
