MIKE ROSENBERG
Myer "Mike" Rosenberg, 1302 W. Riverside Dr., died Sunday (Oct. 18, 1992) at his home. He was 78.
Services are scheduled for Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church. Dr. Brian Taylor is scheduled to officiate. Mr. Rosenberg will be buried following the service in Carlsbad Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by West Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are to be Dr. Ross Maganaro, Judge Harvey Fort, Roy Blackman, John Mills, Dr. Ted Hauser, Jim Beard and Dr. Beto Gutierrez.
Mr. Rosenberg was born Oct. 25, 1913 in Beaver Falls, Pa. He received his bachelor's degree from Kansas University in 1935 and his law degree from the University of Michigan in 1939. An attorney, he was admitted to the New Mexico bar in 1940.
He was a member of the New Mexico Advisory Committee to U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, New Mexico State Board of Bar Commissioners, Medical-Legal Panel, American Bar Association and International Association of Jewish Lawyers and Jurists.
Mr. Rosenberg served as president of the state Bar Association, director of the New Mexico Trial Lawyers Association and a fellow of the New Mexico Bar Foundation.
Among his awards are: the State Bar Service Award in Ethics, 1971; Supreme Court Certificate of Appreciation, 1983; Distinguished Service Award, 1987; Professionalism Award, 1990; and Eddy County Liberty Bell Award, 1992.
Survivors include his wife Nadine; one son, Michael of Palm Desert, Calif.; two daughters, Linda Yost and Mary Ann Weems, both of Albuquerque; and five grandchildren.
Donations may be made to the Carlsbad Foundation, Eddy County Bar Association or the New Mexico State Bar Building Fund.
