This is my only sister who was killed by a drunk driver as she was leaving for work back on the day she died. She was a Correctional Officer at the Women's Facility at the Utah State Prison in Draper, UT and loved the work she was doing. She is buried just to the left of my son Thomas K lehman, Jr. who was also killed by a drunk driver five years earlier in Sandy, Utah. She and I both joined the LDS Church as converts in our home town of Cananea, Sonora, Mexico early in our youth. The sad part obout her untimely death was that I and my fiance were on our way to my apartment on 3900 South and 1300 West when we saw a medical helicopter taking off with a victim whose car had been struck by a drunker driver who ran the red light at the intersection of 3900 South and 700 West in Salt Lake City, Ut. We did not know that the accident victim in the helicopter was my only sister who had been involved in that tragic accident that day. This grave site and that of my son belonged to me and I donated the plots so that they could be buried. My sister received the honors of a fallen Officer including an Honor Guard and a Flag Draped Coffin. Her badge has a Correction Officer hangs in the Gallery of The Women's Facility at the Utah State Prison in Draper.
