She is survived by her husband of 11 years, Charles A. Hunt. She is the daughter of Violet and stepfather Carl Stevens of Ohio. Her beloved father, William G. Brown Jr., died in 1996.
Denise has two brothers, Bill G. Brown III, wife Betty, of Yukon, Okla., Gregory A. Brown, wife Diana of Milford, Ohio, and James Borth, a close family friend who Denise considered as her brother. Denise loved her nephews Nicholas and Alex Brown of Milford, Ohio, and Bryan and David Brown of Oklahoma.
She has two grand nieces, Ella and Brooke Brown and a grandnephew, Preston. Denise loved her stepdaughters: Dawn Hunt, Hamilton, Ohio, and Danielle Hunt (Brian Insko) of Reno, Nev.; and her stepsons, Dr. Charles Hunt (Christina and grandbaby Morgan) of Vincennes, Ind., and Dr. John Hunt, Salt Lake City, Utah.
Denise was a beautiful person both inside and out. She loved life and people. She was a cheerleader, not only in sports but also to everyone she met, an honor student, a Sooner fan, a barrel horse rider, a racecar driver, a NASCAR fan, a teacher, and marketing representative. She graduated twice from University of Central Oklahoma with degrees in education and marketing. She worked for Bayer Pharmaceuticals and the largest newspaper in Oklahoma, The Oklahoman.
Denise was a charismatic person with a marvelous personality. She was sweet, kind, gracious, compassionate and everyone she met liked her. Her family and friends will miss her deeply. Her father called her Sunshine. Her character and spirit reflected the presence of Jesus, whom she adored. We know Denise is now with our Lord.
Denise loved the pastor and people at Anastasia Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Anastasia Baptist Church, with the Reverend Dr. Walter West, Pastor, officiating. The family will receive friends at 11 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the Church. Burial will be in Craig Memorial Park.
