Nellie Ballinger Smith, 83, 1935 S. B St., died Monday at Mercy Hospital.
Born Aug., 10, 1910 in Sheridan, she was the daughter of Charles and Minnie M. Jones Noe.
She married Clarence D. Ballinger. He died in 1953. She later married Wayne Smith and he died in 1980.
She retired from RCA in Marion and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include four daughters, Minnie Kurlin of Huntington, Nora Kinder of Muncie and Emily Gross and Ruth Ann Ballinger, both of Elwood; two sons, Clarence A. Ballinger of Graysville, TN, and Robert Ballinger of Princeton; 20 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by six sisters and two brothers.
Funeral arrangements are pending at the Copher and Fesler Funeral Home.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home.
