Henry A. "Hank" Feltgen, age 89, of St. Charles died Friday at Delnor Community Hospital, Geneva. He was born Dec. 11, 1922 in Chicago, Ill. He inspired many who knew him with his passion for life; ability to overcome great obstacles; and love of family, music and his church community. His receipt of the Silver Beaver Award for Boy Scouting was a particular source of pride. He was an active member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church of St. Charles.
He is survived by his children, Cheryl Feltgen (Chris Sheehan) of Cincinnati, Ohio and Kathy (Steve) Billington of Golconda, Ill.; grandchildren, Sarah (Troy Janssen), Erin, Ethan, Emily, Josephine and Stephanie; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle; and two brothers, Robert and Donald Feltgen.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, Mar. 23, 2012 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church St. Charles, with Rev. Mark Larson officiating. Burial will be at Blackberry Cemetery, Elburn. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday Mar. 22, 2012 at the Yurs Funeral Home, St. Charles. Contributions may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, P.O.
