OBITUARY, Rushville [IN] Republican, Saturday, April 14, 1979:
Mrs. Mae Coffin, 79, Arlington, died this morning at Rush Memorial Hospital. She was a retired postal employee at the Arlington Post Office.
Born in Rush County Sept. 6, 1899, she was the daughter of Jacob and Beatrice Boling Wilhelm. She was a member of the Arlington Christian Church, Nora Hicks Home Helpers and the Margaret Hill McCarter Literary Club.
She was married Jan. 5, 1919 to John M. Coffin. He preceded her in death on Jan. 21, 1966.
Survivors include four sons, John E., Daleville, Maurice, Greenfield, Robert and Ronald, Rushville; three daughters, Mrs. James (Doris) Hamilton, Arlington, Mrs. Gene (Janet) Justus, Morristown and Mrs. Richard (Beatrice) Johnson, Arlington; one brother, Donald Wilhelm, Lawrence, 22 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. One brother preceded her in death.
Services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m., at Moster and Sons Mortuary, Revis Brazle will officiate. Burial will be at Arlington East Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m., Monday.
