Husband of Jane Bassett.

Arrived in New York on Apr 20, 1840 after a voyage of six weeks. Was married to Jane Bassett, in New York City, on Dec. 14, 1848. With his family he came to Illinois and Lawn Ridge in May 1856 and opened a wagon shop on the corner which was also his home.

additional children: Alexander Richard 1849-1854 and brother Charles Harvey 1852-1855 are buried side-by-side in Kaniset, Rockland, New York state as the family was coming across U.S.  Alfred 1857-1857 Lawn Ridge, Ill. George 1858-1884 and Emily Charlotte Alexander 1867-1930.

Per Fredrick's note: "I was five years of age when I first became a frequenter there (the old Historical Tower of London) up to twelve years. The latter four years I went to school there. My father's brother was Clerk of Works, in the Ordinance Dept. which accounts for me being so well informed of the pricinths. in my young days, read the history of London and the tower."

Fredk Bragg, age 23, sailed from the Port of London,on April 20, 1841 on the ship Philadelphia, Capt. Morgan, 6 weeks vogage, arriving May 22, 1841 at the port of New York; Family ID# 30041634, microfilm serial # M237, roll# 45.

In Peoria, he was associated with Charles Barker in a wagon shop.
Eventually went to Lawn Ridge, Marshall county, Illinois, and opened a wagon shop.

His baptism was at Chelsea Church, Parish of St. Lukes, near London.

Additional children: Alexander Richard 1849-1854 and brother Charles Harvey 1852-1855 are buried side-by-side in Kaniset, Rockland, New York state as the family was coming across U.S. Alfred 1857-1857 Lawn Ridge, Ill. George 1858-1884 and Emily Charlotte Alexander 1867-1930.
