Mr. Bobby J. "Bob" Busby, age 70, of Collinsville, Ill., and formerly of Forrest City, died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2006, at his home. Mr. Busby was born April 2, 1936, in Forrest City, the son of Marcus Gipson Busby and Alma Frances Baskins. He was a supervisor with McCabe Powers Company for 30 years and a machinist with Elliot Tool and Manufacturing Company for five years and was a veteran of the Korean War having served with the Navy Seabees. Mr. Busby is survived by his wife, Norma Jean Greene Busby; three daughters, Pamela S. Brown of Godfrey, Ill., Donna Waldeck of Farmersville, Ill. and Glynis Barton of Port Orchard, Wash.; a son Robert Scott Busby of Belleville, Ill.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Daryl Busby and Walter C. Busby and three sisters, Arlene Nettie Browning, JoAnn Reckley and Mary Helen Busby. Visitation for Mr. Busby will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2006, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Herbert A. Kassly Funeral Home, Ltd. in Collinsville, Ill. Funeral services for Mr. Busby will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. at the Herbert A. Kassly Funeral Home with Rev. Dale Clemens officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon, Ill. The family requests that memorials be made to the hospice of Madison County.
