Patsy Earl Jones, 73, of Brandenburg, passed away Sunday, May 30, 2010 in Corydon, IN. She was born September 23, 1936 to the late James W. (Jaybird) and Maggie Lee Miller Powell. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, an avid camper, loved to go to yards sales, and loved to travel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Howard Jones and her brother-in-law, Jim Wilkins. She is survived by four daughters, Vickie (Galon) Outland, Darlene (Doug) York, and Dee (Dwayne) Frank, all of Brandenburg, and Susan Rhodes of Magnolia, KY; two sons, Ricky Wardrip of Brandenburg and Jimmy (Renee) Wardrip of Elizabethtown, KY; one sister, Cathy Wilkins of Brandenburg; two brothers, James E. (Kearon) Powell of Lebanon Junction and Larry Neal (Pam) Powell of Brandenburg; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 2 P.M. EDT Wednesday from the Bethel United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 P.M. Tuesday and after 8:30 A.M. Wednesday at the Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Bethel United Methodist Church, 120 Bethel Church Road, Brandenburg, KY 40108.
