Maxine (Tootie)Dayle Blasing, was born October 1, 1926 in Hancock, MN, the daughter of John and Matilda (Hendrickson) Suhrbier. Maxine grew up in Hancock and was an active member of Our Redeemers Lutheran Church. She attended Hancock School and graduated in 1944. She was united in marriage, October 31, 1945, to Harold Blasing. The couple continued to live in Hancock where they raised their two daughters. Maxine worked at a drugstore for 46 years in Hancock and Morris.
Maxine enjoyed hockey as well as the Minnesota Twins baseball games. She loved to dance and have fun. Maxine served on various committees at Our Redeemers Church and at the VFW Auxiliary. She also loved to spend time with her family.
Maxine is survived by her two daughters, Candy (Rick) Smith of Wilmar, and Jacki (Steven) Burmeister of North St. Paul; four grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold; two brothers, Ray and Glen; two sisters, Vi and Evelyn.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
