Tom graduated in 1970 from Ross Sterling High School in Houston, Texas. He joined the Navy in 1971 and proudly served during the Vietnam Conflict on several ships, including the USS Saratoga. Tom achieved the rank of Aviation Ordinanceman 1st Class before receiving an Honorable Discharge for his service on May 16th, 1979.
Tom was preceded in death by his mother Eleanor Ruth Beller and is survived by his wife Cathy Beller; 4 children: Dale Carroll & wife Marilyn, Glen Carroll, Deanne Beller & husband David Clemensen, and Kimberly Ann Beller; father Tom E. Beller; 4 brothers & sisters: Charlotte Beller Hebert & husband Elliott, Denyse Beller Hines & husband Bro. Tony, Michael Beller & wife Debbie, and Rosemary Beller Modic & husband Patrick; 8 grandchildren: Tucker, Jordan, Tanner, Jack, Eric, Sophia, Christian, and Katie; numerous nieces & nephews; as well as many other relatives & friends.
Funeral Services with Brother Tony Hines officiating were held at 9:45 A.M. on Friday, April 3rd, 2009, at the Houston National Cemetery located at 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas, phone 281-447-8686. Military Honors were rendered by the V.F.W. District #4 Ceremonial Detail. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Tom's name be made to your local Humane Society.
Tom will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
