Susan A. Kelly was born in Holt county, Mo., Jan. 14, 1858. Was united in marriage to William M. Ellis, August 6th, 1876. To this union were born six children, two boys and four girls, two of the little ones having preceded her to that peaceful shore. Sister Ellis gave her heart and life to Christ in July, 1893. On the morning that she died, the deceased called her family around her, told them she was going to her rest and requested them to prepare to meet her in heaven. Funeral services from the M.E. Church at Forbes, Mo., by Eld. J.N. Cole, of Mound City, Sept. 8th, from these words,"The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death".
