Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at a 3:00 p.m. funeral service in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for Lois Thibodeaux Carrier, age 81, who passed away Monday, December 1, 2008 at her residence in Lafayette.
Interment will be in Evangeline Memorial Gardens in Carencro. The Rev. Marshalle Clotieux, pastor of Living Faith Fellowship in Youngsville, will officiate at the services.
Lois was a native of Mowata and a resident of Church Point and Lafayette. She was a parishioner of Living Faith Fellowship in Youngsville.
Survivors include her three sons, Randall Carrier and his wife, Janise, of Carencro, John Levens Carrier, Jr. and Maurice Carrier all of Lafayette; three daughters, June Clotieux, and her husband, Marshall, Cathy Carrier and Nadine Mahfouz all of Lafayette; one brother, Marion Thibodeaux, Jr. of Port Arthur; twelve grandchildren, James Carrier, Vanessa Linkhart and her husband, Scotty, Kristie Schoeffler and her husband, Rocco, Alyssa Carrier, Austin Carrier, Caleb Clotieux, Pete Pernasilice, Blake Abboud, Kelley Abboud, Louis Mahfouz, Jr. and Tiffany Mahfouz; and eleven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Levens Carrier, Sr.; her parents, Marion Thibodeaux and her mother, the former Ella Matte; one son, Kent Joseph Carrier; one daughter, Marcy Abboud; five brothers, Clevens Thibodeaux, Melvin Thibodeaux, Elmer Thibodeaux, Louis Thibodeaux and Andrew Thibodeaux; and two sisters, Lena Colligan and Anna Richard.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Tuesday and will continue from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday.
Pallbearers will be Randall Carrier, Louis Mahfouz, Sr., John Carrier, Maurice Carrier, Caleb Clotieux, James Carrier, Blake Abboud and Louis Mahfouz, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
