Dean Blagrave, 63, died Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004, at his home. He was born Aug. 19, 1941, to Francis H. and Amy E. Blagrave in Beloit.

He married Mary J. Brungardt May 15, 1961, in Grainfield. She survives.

He served in the U.S. Navy. He worked for Western Testing and operated Dean's Testers until retiring in 1998. He volunteered at Arkalon Park for more than 12 years. He enjoyed restoring antique trucks and tractors.

Other survivors include one son, Phillip Blagrave and wife Kimberly, Liberal; one daughter, Anita Thompson and husband Jody, Liberal; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Steven Blagrave and wife Sheila, Tulsa, Okla., and Michael Blagrave, Parris, Calif.; five sisters, Helena Smith, Buffalo, Okla., Marion Cook and husband Oland, Cimarron; Ramona Rogers, LeRoy, Jean Nabors, Hugoton, and Ruth Subert and husband Richard, Hays; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Miller Chapel with Don Baldwin presiding.
