Myrtle D. Bricker, 84, of 3663 E. County Rd. 200 North, rural Portland, died Saturday afternoon in Adams Memorial Hospital. She was born in Decatur on September 9, 1925, the daughter of Frank and Ella (Myers) Knittle. She was married on July 30, 1942 to Lester "Hap" Bricker, who died on July 23, 2004. She was a homemaker and, with her husband, owned Circle B Ranch, Happy's Poultry, and Hap's Sale Barn.
Surviving are one son, Fred Bricker of Portland; one daughter, Marjorie Frazier of Kissimmee, Florida; two sisters, Ruth Nicodemus of Decatur and Betty Fisher of Fort Wayne; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Judy Weagant and Jackie Petscke.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Baird-Freeman Funeral Home at Portland, with Pastor Mike Harris presiding. Burial will follow in Salamonia Cemetery.
