She was born March 31, 1919, in South Fayette Township, a daughter of JOHN and EDITH BENNETT LAWTON. Mrs. Boyce was a resident of Avella for more than 60 years. Her husband, JOHN A. BOYCE, died March 18, 1990. Surviving are a daughter, EDITH LYNN SCHEER of South Fayette Township; two sons, J. NORMAN BOYCE of Avella and GERALD A. BOYCE of Cecil; two grandchildren, JULIE A. BOYCE and GREGORY BOYCE; and a brother, JOHN LAWTON of Phoenix, Ariz.
