Services for Glenn R. May, 90, who died July 30, 1999, were held at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 3, 1999, in the Colonial Chapel of Miles Funeral Service. LaRon Branson and Doyle Copeland officiated. Burial was in Atlanta Cemetery.
Mr. May's grandchildren sang "Alone with Jesus." The congregation sang "Only Remembered." Graveside music was "It Pays to Serve Jesus."
Honorary casket bearers were Mark and Winnette Sudduth, Allan and Sharon Sudduth, Douglas and Karen Dotson, Keith and LaGaya Belling, Cindy Hartsuiker, Deanette Schraw, Laurel May, Mililani May, Julie Headrick, Sarah Headrick, June Headrick, BriAnna Schraw and Nicole Schraw.
Casket bearers were James May, Jerry May, Rodney May, Krandal May, Glendon Schraw, Kendall Schraw, Mike Headrick, Jim Headrick, Phillip Headrick, Matthew Headrick and Andrew Headrick.

ANDOVER - Glenn R. May, 90, a resident of the Atlanta community for over 60 years, died July 30, 1999, at Andover Health Care Center.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Burial will be in Atlanta Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday.

May was born Nov. 29, 1908, in Caldwell, to Chi Chester and Bessie (Burns) May. He was raised and educated in the Caldwell area and began his agricultural career as a youth.
On May 25, 1939, he married Mabel Luvina Lambotte at her parents' home in Rossville. The Mays lived and worked on their farm north of Atlanta throughout their marriage. Mr. May is credited with introducing wheat as a crop to northern Cowley County, planting the first wheat there in 1939.
Mrs. May died Oct. 20, 1994. Mr. May continued to reside in Atlanta until moving to the Andover Health Care Center in February 1996.
A lifelong farmer and stockman, he was a member of the Nondenomin-ational Christian Faith.
Survivors include two sons, George May, Craig, Colo., and Dale May, Goodland; three daughters, Glenice Schraw, Wichita, and Mary Headrick and Wanda Headrick, both of Atlanta; a sister, Pearl Unruh, Marysville; 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
