Mr. Erwin was born in Sherman, Texas, Nov. 1, 1885, at which time his father was employed with the Indian agency. In 1889 the Erwins moved to old Silver City, near Tuttle, and in 1891 they went to Minco. The family came to Chickasha in 1890 at which time Mr. Erwin became cashier of the Citizens National bank at the time it was organized. He was one of the organizers of the Bank of Commerce and of the Washita Wallet Abstract and Trust Co. SISTERS WERE GRACE, WILMA, & MARY.
