Freddie was hired as the first full time Fire Chief and served for the Town of Sandwich for 25 years. He was also a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Kay and three daughters, Sharon Alvezi, Carol Boucher and her husband John and Kathy Alvezi. He was also survived by a sister Margaret Richter, a grandson, Jack Boucher and many nieces and nephews.
Freddie enjoyed his family, fishing, music and clambakes in the summer.
His Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in Corpus Christi Parish 324 Quaker Meeting House Road East Sandwich. Visitation Friday 4 – 8 p.m. at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home 154 Route 6A Sandwich, MA. Interment in Sandwich Town Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in his memory may be made to Sandwich Professional Firefighters P.O. Box 1251 Sandwich, MA 02563.
