John Martin Anderson
John Martin Anderson met with an accidental death early Sunday morning, January 6, 1946.
John Anderson was born in Alexandria township on October 14, 1900, and was 45 years old. Most of his life he had made his home in the community of Alexandria, except for the last two years when he made his home with his sister, Mrs. John Wetternoch of Minneapolis, where he was employed.
Those he leaves to survive him are three sisters and one brother, Anna (Mrs. Fred ) Haas of Canistota, South Dakota, Bertha (Mrs. Edward) Harris of Minneapolis, Minnie (Mrs. John) Wetternoch of Minneapolis, and Reuben H. Anderson of Minneapolis. A brother-in-law, Otto Wetternach of Minneapolis also survives.
His parents, one sister and five brothers preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 8, at 2 o'clock from the Engstrom Funeral Home in Alexandria, with Rev. C.E. Hansen officiating. Miss Lois Gilbertson and Miss Joan Osterberg sand two duets, "Jesus, Lover of My Soul" and "Abide With Me". They were accompanied by Mrs. Sherm Barsness at the piano.
The pallbearers were Carl Wickstrom, Roland Wickstrom, Mauritz Peterson, Hjalmer Peterson, John Mayers and Eugene Engstrom. Interment was made at Nelson Cemetery.
