Mr. Anderson was the son of the late William Montgomery Anderson and Elaine Lilley Anderson. He was a retired chef with the Marriott Corporation. A member of the Army Rangers, he served in the Vietnam War, earning a bronze star and three purple hearts. He was of the Baptist faith.
