She married Emil Rich Andrus on June 10, 1942, in Provo, Utah. They had one son, Larry Andrus. They divorced in 1951.
She married Travers Francis Brophy in Elko, Nevada, on February 14, 1954. They had one daughter Bonnie Marie. He died in 1976.
She married Douglas Close in Elko, Nevada, on June 19, 1972. He died in June 1997.
Charlotte worked for Bell Telephone Company for 10 years in Idaho Falls, Twin Falls, Idaho, and in Provo, Salt Lake City, Utah. She worked at the Naval Supply Depot in Clearfield, Utah, for three years and Hill Air Force Base for three years. She also worked at the Davis County Recorder Office for 10 years as a Deputy Clerk, Triarc in Salt Lake City for three years and with Dr. Reed Adams as a Dental Assistant. She worked at Max Factor Corporation in Clearfield, Utah for seven years and retired in 1982.
She belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary from 1955 to 1980, and the Ogden Branch of the Salon of the 8/40. She also belonged to the Farmington Literary Guild and to several square dancing clubs including the Rocketeers of Salt Lake City and Single Swingers of Ogden.
She is survived by her son, Larry Andrus Brophy of Layton, Utah; her daughter, Bonnie (John) Marie Harpes of Peachtree City, Georgia; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Billy and Earl, and her parents of Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Services will be held at Myers Mortuary, 250 North Fairfield Road, Layton, Utah on Monday, May 15, 2006 at 2 p.m. Friends and family may meet from 12:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. prior to services. Interment will be at Kaysville City Cemetery.
