MRS. HENRIETTA ARNDT
Mrs. Henrietta Arndt passed away at the hone of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Kopischke, at Alma City on Friday, May 13th. Death was due to ills incident to old age and a general breaking down. Many friends learned of her passing with sincere sorrow and regret.

The deceased was born in Germany June 7th, 1844. Her age was 76 years, 11 months, and 6 days. She had been a resident of this county for many years where her family was raised and where she became most completely imbued with American ideals. She was a woman of intensely religious convictions which were exemplified in the Godly life she lived. She was a faithful and sincere adherent of the Christian faith, a consistent and devoted member of the German Lutheran church.

She leaves to mourn her loss five daughters and three sons, 29 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. The daughters and sons are, Max Arndt and Mrs. Albert Hartwig, of Redwood Falls, Mrs. Fred Heuer, of Mora, Arnold Arndt, of Waseca, Mrs. Henry Kopischke, Mrs. Emil Lange, Mrs. Chas. Ewert and Carl Arndt, of Janesville. Her husband died twelve years ago.

The funeral was held on Monday in the Trinity German Lutheran church in this place at one o'clock in the afternoon, Rev. Brotky, of Alma City, officiating. The remains were laid to rest in the Janesville cemetery. Many beautiful floral tributes adorned the casket, attesting the high esteem and love in which the deceased was held.

Those from out of town to attend the funeral were Max Arndt and Mrs. Albert Hartwig, of Redwood Falls and Mrs. Fred Heuer, of Mora.

Her parents are Franz Krueger and Johanna Pomeranke. I believe they died in Germany. One brother and two sisters also came to Waseca County from Germany.
