Born in Bonefro, Italy, she lived most of her life in Akron. She was a seamstress at Polsky's and O'Neil's for 25 years, a charter member of the Abruzese Auxiliary, and a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.

Preceded in death by husband, Sam; daughter, Lee Passavant; and son, Dominic Vaccaro, she is survived by son, Alex Vaccaro of Akron; sister and brother-in-law, Maria Danato and Onofrio DeMarzo of New York; grandchildren, Tom Passavant and Sandy Shorter; great-grandchildren, Robin and Monica Shorter.
