HELEN T. PEIFFER
WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Helen T. Peiffer, 67, of 11616 N. Landis Ave., and formerly of Cumberland, Md., died Friday, Nov. 12, at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore.
Born Sept. 22, 1926 in Town Creek, Ala., she was the daughter of the late Left and Ida Lou Holland Thompson.
She was a 1945 graduate of Hazelnut High School in Town Creek.
She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Waynesboro.
She was also a member of the Homemakers Club of Wayne Heights, the South Chapter 2977, and the National AARP.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth L. Peiffer, who she married Aug. 28, 1946;one daughter, Martha L. Owens of Belcamp, Md.; one son, Ronald A. Peiffer of Severna
Park, Md.; four sisters, Alma Singelton of Sheffield, Ala., EIreno Brackin of Town Creek, Sadi Coffey of Decatur, Ala., and Cary Clowdus of Leeds, Ala.; three brothers, Marvin Thompson of Kalamazoo, Mich., Gene Thompson of Albertville, Ala., and Ray Thompson of Hartselle, Ala.; three grand-children; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Avery Thompson.
Services will be held at 3: 30 p.m. Wednesday at the Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro, Pa. The Rev. Jay A. Saxe will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 9p.m.
