Miss. Adams was born on April 16, 1934 to the late Robert and Sarah Adams, Sr. She was a homemaker/nannie who loved and cared for children for over thirty years. She thought of those children as her own. She was a thirty nine year member of the Eastern Star of Detroit, MI.
Mrs. Adams is preceded in death by her three sons, Harvey, Samuel, and Michael Adams; parents, Robert and Sarah Adams; sisters, Frances Thompson, Bobbie Christine Durr, and Jeanette Goldsmith, and her brother, Robert Adams, Jr.
She is survived by her sisters, Virginia Walker of Biloxi, MS; Mary Lee Jamison of Gulfport, MS; Clara E. Adams of Philadelphia, PA, and Ella Goodwin of Meridian, MS; brothers, Roger and Ray Durr of Compton, CA; two grandchildren, Consuela Moses-Gillam and Corretta Moses Of Detroit, MI; ten great grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Southern Mississippi Funeral Services in Ocean Springs. Following visitation, Miss. Adams will be transferred to Clora Funeral Home, 5801 East 7 Mile Road, Detroit, Michigan, 48234 for a Home Going and burial in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery in Detroit, MI.
