Guy Apperson Called Beyond
Guy Apperson, pioneer resident of this place passed away at the LCM hospital in Kemmerer on Monday morning following a short illness due to pneumonia. Mr. Apperson was 60 years old.
Mr. Apperson was a man of unassuming nature being a bachelor living on ranches, but of late had been working with sheep where he caught cold and contracted pneumonia during the cold, damp weather which prevailed up to the past week.
He is survived by two brothers and six sisters, three of whom were present at the funeral, Bud Apperson of this place, Fred Apperson of LaBarge, and Mrs. B. Yarger of Daniel.
The Apperson family was among the first settlers in the Green River Valley, first settling in the Daniel country.
Impressive services were held this afternoon at the Congregational church with Rev. Midgley officiating.
Mrs. Mildred Homer and Mrs. Flora Piernick sang appropriate hymns, with Mrs. Elaine Moffat at the piano.
The pallbearers were Frank Tyler, Pete Wagner, Joseph Huston, Clate Stacey, J.L. Olivier, and John Stevens. Interment was in the Big Piney cemetery. Tanner Mortuary in charge.
