Mr. L.C. Campbell, the well-known hardware merchant died at Minnequa Springs, Pa., yesterday morning, in the 47th year of his age. Mr. Campbell was a native of Washington, and at an early age was associated with his father W.H. Campbell, in the hardware business, in this city, and the partnership continued until 1866, when the senior member of the firm turned the establishment over to the deceased, who continued the business until the 1st of the present month when he entered into partnership with J.W. Kennedy, esq., also a hardware merchant, the style of the firm being Campbell & Kennedy. The house was founded in 1800 by John P. Ingle, his uncle. The deceased was a member of Washington Commandery, No. 1, Knights Templar, and Washington Chapter and St. John's Lodge of Masons, who will attend his funeral.
