Body of Mrs. Miranda Ford-Allen who died suddenly Monday, January 14, at the home of her son at Bell, Calif., arrived in Grove City Sunday. Burial in Amity cemetery. Well known here as she and her husband were residents of Irwin township and after the death of Mr. Allen she lived part of the time with her son and family, Mr. and Mrs. George Allen, of Bullion. Just recently she went
to California to spend the winter with her two sons, Dr. John Allen and George Allen who accompanied the body here. A sister, Mrs. William Eakin of Grove City survives.

Another article: Born October 1853 near Wesley and died January 14.... She visited among her friends of Wesley before her departure to California leaving here November 6, then visiting a sister in Oklahoma until December, leaving there to reach her son's home in California to spend Christmas. Although she was subject to severe attacks of pneumonia in previous years, she had been in
good health since her arrival in California and two hours before death had prepared the family meal at noon time. At 2:00 she was taken seriously ill with pleurisy which caused her death. Sons, Dr. J. J. Allen and G. W. Allen, both of California, seven grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Eakin of Grove City, Mrs. Elizabeth Bovine of Oklahoma; one half-sister, Mrs. Julia Gealy, also of
Oklahoma, one brother, George Ford of Ohio and one half-brother, Curt Baker of Rocky Grove. Body accompanied to Grove City by her two sons and at 2:30 Sunday a large and sorrowful congregation assembled at Amity Presbyterian church to honor her memory. After reading service for dead, Rev. Nicholson paid beautiful tribute to noble character of the deceased. Solo entitled "We Journey to a
City" was beautifully rendered by U. G. Sterret, two selections, "Rock of Ages" and "We'll Never Say Goodbye" were sung by choir. Many friends from distance were present.... Interment in Amity cemetery; near relatives acting as pall bearers.
