He was a brother, a husband & Father of JohnRobert (adopted) who operated a motel, store & station in Goldthwaite, Mills county, Texas for most of his adult life along with his wife Opal Mary (Atchison) having married Nov. 14, 1925. During WWII, due to his failing health, he worked in an airplane factory in Waco, then later in a shipyard in Houston. His wife's parents ran the motel during that period of time. He was a member of the church of Christ. He served as an Alderman on the Goldthwaite City Council for a number of years.
