By 1920, they had added three more children: Annie (7), Orvile (5), and Viola (3). Vannie would have been 21 in 1920 and is not listed in the home with James and Maude.
Ann McCallister found a WW 1 draft registration card for James Andrew Allen dated September 12, 1918 in which he gives his age as 41 and birth date as September 20, 1876 and his wife's name as Maude Ester Allen, He was a self employed farmer.
Andrew and Maude are buried in the Whitaker Cemetery in Barnardsville where they have a dual headstone reading: Maude E. Holcombe 1880 - 1964 and James Andrew Allen 1877 - 1929.
