Clara Belle Union was one of four children born to Herbert Union and Maseline Rudolph- Union on September 29, 1927 in Albion, Michigan.
Her earliest years of Christian experience were within the circle of the St. John Baptist Church. Later, she joined the Israelite Baptist Churh under the leadership of the Rev. Willard Singletary. She retained there until her passing.
Her formal education began at Buffalo's Public School No. 75. She completed her secondary education at Hutchinson Technical High School. Majoring in Music, Clara attended Villa Marie College until she became ill.
Clara was employed College Knitting Mills until she could no longer work because of her becoming ill.
After a lengthy illness, the mortal frame of Clara Belle Union surrendered to eternity and its power. While at her home, she departed this life on Monday, November 2, 1992.
Her special saying was "Each day will take care of its own." Clara will be greatly missed by thise who knew her.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories is her daughter: Constance; one grandson: Marlon Shallowhorn; one God-Child: Derrick Moore; one brother: Donald Scott of Albion, Michigan; two sisters; Bernive (David) Willis, and Georgia Miller; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
