SYCAMORE — Funeral services for Willie Clarence Fitzgerald, 91, of Sycamore were held Monday, April 19, 2010 at 2 p.m. in the Perry Funeral Chapel in Ashburn.
Interment followed at the Pine City Cemetery in Wilcox County. The family received friends Sunday from 4-6 p.m. at Perry Funeral Chapel.
Mr. Fitzgerald passed away Saturday, April 17, 2010 following an extended illness. He was born in Wilcox County, the son of John Arthur and Addie A. Patterson Fitzgerald.
He was a retired employee at Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins. Mr. Fitzgerald was a member of Pitts Church of God and served in the U. S. Army during World War II. He had lived in Pitts before moving to Sycamore.
Surviving him are his wife, Helen Johns Fitzgerald of Sycamore; a daughter and son-in-law, Wynelle and Billy Lewis of Sycamore; grandchildren, Dwane and Kippy Lewis of Ashburn, Danny and Jennifer Lewis of Chula; great grandchildren, Lacey and Olivia Lewis of Ashburn and Christopher and Catherine Lewis of Chula; a brother, Russell Fitzgerald of Pitts and two sisters, Kathryn Dennard of Rochelle and Lucille Seader of Palm Beach, FL.
