KOOSHAREM, UTAH

- Landon G. Anderson (Lanny), age 61, of Koosharem, passed away Dec. 31, 2001 in Koosharem, after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born Nov. 3, 1940, in Salina, Utah, a son of R.D. and Reine Gleave Anderson.

Lanny graduated from Richfield High School, attended art school in California, served as a member of the Utah National Guard and worked for several years in Alaska before coming back to farming and ranching at Antimony and Koosharem. He was very artistic and creative. He took great pride in making his unique aspen boxes that are found in homes all across the United States. Lanny enjoyed honest labor, especially in the fields, among the cattle and on the many projects he completed for his parents, brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, and friends. He went to great lengths to see any job done to perfection. Lanny will be dearly missed. However, we will always have the memory of his joyful sense of humor and the wonderful example of his willingness to give of himself.

Lanny is survived by his father, R.D. Anderson of Koosharem; sisters: Lora (Jack) Burr of Koosharem; Judy (Larry) Peterson of Centerville; Jolene (Chris) Fullmer of Circleville; brothers: Robert and Jack Anderson, both of Koosharem; and Rae (Diane) Anderson of Boise, ID.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2002 at 12 Noon in the Koosharem LDS Ward Chapel in Koosharem, Utah where friends may visit with the family one half hour prior to the services. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the cancer research center of your choice.
